When did you first know that you wanted to become a writer?
I'm an actor by trade, so story telling has always been a huge part of my life. The day just finally came when I wanted the opportunity to create my own story, and writing became that outlet.

In your words, what is your book about?
It's about a boy who loves a girl and would do anything to protect her. And there's magic.

What is the hardest part about being an author?
The waiting. Waiting to hear back from queries. Waiting for edits and reviews. In Theatre everything tends to move very quickly, and it's hard for me to process that everything isn't going to be done within the next two weeks.

What is your favorite part?
Telling the story. Finding a character's voice and making sure it shines through.

What kinds of things do you like to do in your free time (when not writing)?
I spend most of my time on stage. But I love to travel, hike, and play my ukulele.

What book are you reading now?
The Iron Trial by Holly Black

What are some of your favorite books of 2015?
I love Elected by Rori Shay, I also enjoyed The Unwanteds, and spent some time revisiting a bunch of old classics, A Christmas Carol and Little Women being my favorites among them.

What was your favorite book as a child?
I loved the Chronicles of Narnia. I couldn't pick just one of them. I love the whole series.

Describe your hero in three words.
Loyal, loving, brave
What are you working on now?
Last week I actually just released my first adult romance: a Christmas novella called Nuttycracker Sweet.

The plan was simple. Get to Portland, dance The Nutcracker, and don’t murder your dance partner. And most definitely, do not, under any circumstances, fall in love with him.
A snowy road trip strands Elle Grant in a tiny cabin better suited for serial killings than rehearsals for two professional ballet dancers. With no one but the incredibly talented, excruciatingly handsome, and notoriously terrible Zachary Benson and a few taxidermy woodland creatures for company, Elle’s Christmas plans are officially ruined. Can she and Zach learn to like each other enough to dance together? And can Elle get home without losing her heart to the Christmas Cavalier?

Right now I'm working on a fun zombie project for Christmas, and after that it's time to work on the fourth and final book in The Tethering Series!

Thank you so much, Megan, for joining us today!
