Imagine a world where your destiny has already been decided...by your future self.

It's Callie's seventeenth birthday and, like everyone else, she's eagerly awaiting her vision-a memory sent back in time to sculpt each citizen into the person they're meant to be. A world-class swimmer. A renowned scientist.

Or in Callie's case, a criminal.

In her vision, she sees herself murdering her gifted younger sister. Before she can process what it means, Callie is arrested and placed in Limbo-a hellish prison for those destined to break the law. With the help of her childhood crush, Logan, a boy she hasn't spoken to in five years, she escapes.

But on the run from her future, as well as the government, Callie sets in motion a chain of events that she hopes will change her fate. If not, she must figure out how to protect her sister from the biggest threat of all-Callie, herself.

When did you first know that you wanted to become a writer?
Six years old. I remember very clearly my first grade teacher asking us what I wanted to be when I grew up. My answer? Author.

In your words, what is your book about?
In a world where memories can be sent back in time, a teenage girl receives a vision of the unthinkable: her future self killing her little sister.

What is the hardest part about being an author?
Rejection. Every stage of being an author is rife with rejection. I naturally have a very thin skin, but it's getting tougher by the day.

What is your favorite part?
The writing. I love, love, love every bit of the writing process. In fact, I feel like my truest self when I write. That I get to do this every day is a dream come true.

What kinds of things do you like to do in your free time (when not writing)?

Hang out with my kids, exercise, read, watch reality TV, and eat yummy food!

What book are you reading now?

I'm reading two books currently. Untamed, by Madeline Dyer and Nexis, by A.L Davroe

What are some of your favorite books of 2015? Oh wow. So many. Here are a few:
Remember Me, by Romily Bernard
Gone Too Far, by Natalie Richards
5 to 1, by Holly Bodger
Tiny Pretty Things, by Dhonielle Clayton and Sona Charaipotra

What was your favorite book as a child?
Anne of Green Gables

Describe your hero in three words.
Haunted, capable, steadfast

What are you working on now?
Book 2 in the Forget Tomorrow series: Remember Yesterday. Almost done now!

Thank you so much, Pintip, for joining us today!
